LETTER TO YOUNG CHRISTIAN (PART 9): THERE IS A KING IN YOU

What are we going to do?

The wealth of America, United kingdom and most of the prosperous nations of the world is traceable to God. Their founding fathers loved God. They brought God into the circle of their governance. They elect-god fearing people and the nation flourish. But when America missed it, there was a nose dive in their economy. The wealth of a nation is tied to involving God in our governance. If Nigeria will ever be great a great, we must by all means involve God in the circle of our governance. We must enthrone Him over our land from the corridor of power. But who will go for us?

God is interested in governance of the earth, governance of the nation, governance of the city and village, governance of your family and most importantly governance of YOUR OWN LIFE.

Everything starts with how well you have governed yourself and your household. A well self-governed man will be more equipped to govern the city and nation more than a lose-governed man.

When our household is well governed, we are raising men and women who will govern their cities and states in such manner. When you instill good values in your household, you are raising a man/woman with good values who will one day govern our city, state and nation. When you work so hard to raise godly children, you are raising godly leader.

Revelation 5:10 “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth”. God’s will for the people of the kingdom is for us to reign on earth. God’s will for us is for us to have dominion. But these two things are principally tied to governance.

This is God’s will but are we truly reigning on earth? Is it God’s fault? I tell you, it’s our fault. Those nations placing ban on Christianity and anything about Lord Jesus is the faulty of the early Christianity who should have been involved in politics but stayed away.

Beloved if we continue to stay away from governance, we shouldn’t expect peace, progress and justice upon our land. Even the spread of the gospel will suffer.

Jesus made us priests and kings. Truthfully, we have done well with the priest side but we need to stand up as the king. We need to get involve in governance now.

Angels won’t come to be our governor, they won’t be in national assembly, we are the one that need to be there. How beautiful it will be when we have a blood washed, tongue speaking Christians as leader in our nation.

What to do?

be rooted in God
be a friend to the Holy Spirit
Prepare yourself
School yourself in the school of leadership: read leadership books and go for leadership course.
Govern your life well: show us how well you have led yourself then we will believe in you.
Govern your family well.
Develop quality relationships
Join a political party
Be a card carrying member.
Attend their meetings.
And take up elective posts when is available.

I will see you as the next leader in our nation.
