LETTER TO YOUNG CHRISTIAN (PART 8): ARISE! O’ RIGHTEOUS COMPATRIOT
Governance through God’s Len
The scripture stated it clearly in Proverbs 29:2 when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. If you don’t get involve in governance then don’t complain.
If we believed that verse of the scripture to be true then we can BOLDLY SAY GOD IS INTERESTED IN GOVERNANCE. If God is interested who are you not to have interest? If God is interested in governance, who are you not to embrace it?
Governance is very important to God. Moses was planted by God in the palace of Egypt to grow there. God planted Joseph in the most powerful government of his time. God buried Daniel deep down the most influential government of Babylon with corrupt princes occupying offices yet Daniel ruled in the reign of three kings.
God stationed Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego to show forth his power to the heathen. What about Nehemiah, he was planted near the terrain of powers in the foreign land.
What about David? It was not a mistake that King Saul had an evil spirit disturbing Him from the Lord. Without the incident David won’t have a chance to be in the palace. God used that to plant David in the palace to grow him and make him familiar with the corridor of power.
Young Christians, we are running away from governance but have you asked yourself why will God plant righteous people among the heathen? Why will God allow His children to take political offices, that can eventually corrupt them?
It’s because God want to have influence everywhere including the corridors of power. God want to fill all that is, and this can only be possible if a righteous, God lover is on the throne. Foe the knowledge of God to fill the whole world, governance is needed.

The church will not be as effective as it should be if all of us run away from governance thinking we are being spiritual. Evangelism is been attacked everywhere. We can’t have you in power, I mean you and you won’t do all in your power to make sure Christ is preached and reigns in your domain. Do you see why you are needed?
Hope you know some nations are publicly against the spread of Christianity, thereby refusing to be under the Lordship of the Lord Jesus. China and some countries told the citizen to replace Christianity with science and technology. There must not be a public worship of the Lord Jesus. Any house with inscription of Jesus and anything about Christianity is an offence to the governance of the land. Never think it can’t happen in Nigeria because the people in leadership make the law and it will be abiding no matter the protest. Do you see why we need you?
Take a look at our house of senate and house of representative, how many God lovers are there? How many kingdom-minded Christians is a governor of the land? Yet we are crying the land is bad. Will you rise up and join the train of politics, if you are called into that field.
