My Love, Let’s Pray…

MY LOVE, LET’S PRAY..
When I was a kid, I learn early enough what it meant to be someone with integrity… I love to keep my words and promises so I found it weird when I later discovered the lackadaisical attitude with which people renege. As i grew older, that nature also almost caught up with me until I found someone who never fails and keeps his promises 100%, I got intrigued and decided to give my life totally to him.(His name is Jesus by the way)
However, I’m not here to share the entirety of my youthful days or salvation experience…rather, I’m here to simply open your eyes to the potential benefit of your relationship with your spouse/fiance 😍😘💑👫
I know it feels good when you hear your lover tell you sweet words…words like “I promise I’ll always be there for you”, “I’ll love you forever”, “I’ll never leave your side”, “You mean the world to me” etc…
Such promises give us an assurance of love and hope of a lifetime of togetherness. It undeniably feels good especially when this promises are made in the cool of the day 😁😎🌳🌴☄🌛🌌🎆💗💕🕖💑
Huumn…
Do you know God also loves and knows the importance of promises?
His word says in Eccl. 5:4-5(MSG)
When you tell God you’ll do something, do it—now. God takes no pleasure in foolish gabble. Vow it, then do it. Far better not to vow in the first place than to vow and not pay up. Don’t let your mouth make a total sinner of you. When called to account, you won’t get by with “Sorry, I didn’t mean it.” Why risk provoking God to angry retaliation?
Wooow! That’s something isn’t it?🤷🏼♂ which also can imply that every of God’s word must be credible since he ensures mere humans keep their promises…His word proves Him when it says in psalms 138:2… “for you have exalted your Word above all your name.” Another also says in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it…”
Now that I have established the importance of keeping promises, let us then go into one of the potential benefits of your spouse I talked about earlier.
I call it- PRAYER OF AGREEMENT🙏
If you’re in a relationship and you can’t pray with your partner, it is either you are in a wrong relationship or you both need to take your spiritual life seriously.
If you can’t pray together in agreement, the devil will find great pleasure in manipulating you…or how can you walk the path of life If you both can’t agree on a direction prayerfully?(Amos 3:3)
What then is the correlation between promises and prayer of agreement?_
How can we pray in agreement?
What is the uniqueness?
Let’s see what the bible says in Matthew 18:18-20 shall we?
“Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this.
When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.”
Wow! Isn’t that great?!😃😍
That is Jesus promising to hearken and take our prayer of agreement seriously…
If you’re a believer and you’re engaged or married to a believer as well then you can be sure that there’s an invisible man beside you EVERY TIME you pray together!
The person of the Holy spirit within your hearts leap for joy and there’s a force ignited on your behalf to yield 10,000 times better results. At this point of agreement, you generate a concerted effort and spiritual strength.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
God never fails and he has promised to go to action once there’s a prayer of agreement
Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor. (Eccl 4:9)
Remember: A cord of three strands is not easily broken;
God,
You and,
Your partner.
With this in mind, you’ll become an immutable force against the enemy.
How to pray in agreement?
Many at times we assume that just praying with someone equals prayer of agreement…this isn’t so, we might have gotten it all wrong. 🙅
1.) He/She must be born again i.e the person you wanna pray with.., Otherwise every other effort would be useless. ..God doesn’t hearken to the prayer of the unrighteous except in repentance.
Ensure he/she is not just a christian but also a believer…
Christianity is a religion and those who practice it are therefore called Christians, i.e. a christian can be just a “church goer” and not be power packed. (I call it Christian by Religion)
However,
A believer is one who believes in the wisdom and the power of the gospel of Christ, having his/her son ship sealed by the indwelling of the Spirit.
Now, that is the kind of person you should pray in agreement with.
2.) Share your request prior the prayer time so both of you can meditate on it…
This creates oneness of mind.👫
Don’t just say “please pray with me, I need money”
Tell the person how much you need and even if possible the purpose the money would fulfil…
This enables you to come to agreement even on the intellectual level.🙇🏽🙇🏼
3.) Meditate on relevant and faith provoking scriptures for a while and then begin to charge up yourselves in your most holy faith by praying in the spirit.
4.) Now proceed to make your request known in understanding.
5.) Once you’re through with this, begin to make prophetic declarations according to the will of God found in the scriptures. (Some call this – CONFESSIONS). This is a very crucial part that you mustn’t miss. Call those things that be not as though they were already. There’s an unquantifiable power in the tongue, it’s an authority given to man to create…it’s manifestations however differs based on the diversity of our understandings.
Say the things you want and see it happen!👀
Using your tongue doesn’t cost you, it’s yours you didn’t borrow it!
Envision your desire then speak it and you shall see it.
On the final note…
If you are in a relationship as a believer, then most likely he/she is already aware of your desires because of your closeness…💑 Hence, having one mind and agreement on the intellectual level would be much easier. 💁🏼💁🏻👫
Now you see the full benefit packaged in your partner all this while, perhaps you’ve been taking it for granted… now is the time to awaken unto reality; your spouse is your lucky charm!
Shalom!
